Qingdao Guangming Environmental Technology Ltd. is converted from Qingdao Guangming Institute of Applied Technology, which was a state-owned science research organization. The company has 167 staff/workers, among which more than 45% are professional personnel, 3 technical divisions, 2 experiment factories, an oil-spill emergency response service sub-company, a technical consultation sub-company. The company is now mainly engaged in technique and equipment for marine oil-spill control, special purpose ship for environment  
protection with relative service such as installation, consultation, training and so on. The company also produces protecting coating."Oil Spill Recovery System", developed by the company, includes: oil-spill and floater(solid garbage) recovering ship, Inflatable boom, Solid floatation boom, fire-resistant boom, Sorbent boom, Silt protector, Disk skimmer, Rope mop skimmer, Weir skimmer, Vacuum skimmer, Belt skimmer, Brush/drum skimmer, Floating oil bladder, Portable oil tank, Oil dispersant and Spraying device, Absorbent pad and so on, which have been being widely used in harbor, dock, oilfield, refinery, petroleum-chemical plant, offshore petroleum platform.
